The school uniform allows children to have a sense of belonging to our school community. It also ensures that children and parents do not have to compete with the constant demands of the fashion world. As such it is important that all children wear the correct uniform, which is suitable for all school activities.

Money and Personal Belongings

As a general rule, children should not bring money or in possession of anything costly into school. The school will not take responsibility for any loss

Behaviour

In school we try to create a caring environment and therefore we try to be sensitive to the needs of individual children. We encourage a high standard of self‑control and courtesy on the part of all pupils, showing consideration to others and respect for their views and feelings. We believe the development of self‑control and an acceptance of responsibility for their actions is essential if children are to live happily in a community. Golden Rules for each class and area of the school are devised by the children and are reviewed each term. In order to reinforce these values we have devised scaled levels of reward and sanction.

Misbehaviours may results suspension order from attending school for a week. if repeated the third time it will result in expulsion from the school

Severe Weather Conditions

If the decision is made not to open school as a result of deteriorating weather conditions overnight, a notice will be put up outside school as early as possible to tell you school is closed. The school telephone will be staffed from 7.30 am 10.00 am so that enquiries can be made. If worsening weather conditions indicate that by 3.45 pm children and staff may have difficulty getting home, every attempt will be made to contact you to ask you to come and collect your children from school.

If you anticipate difficulties collecting your children later in the day due to weather conditions, please come early and collect children from school or telephone us to let us know what arrangement to make.

The Principal, Head of the Department or other authorized person will remain at school until all children have been safely collected.

Tests And Examinations

Tests are undertaken periodically and there are Three Terminal Examinations conducted during the Academic Year. The dates and portions for examinations will be notified to the students at the appropriate time Students who are in default of the payment of the prescribed fees may not be allowed to write the tests or exams. Students absenting from any of the school tests or main examinations will be considered as having failed

Answer scripts submitted to the examinations will not be returned to the parent or guardian, private tutors or others. They may however scrutinize the papers in the respective class rooms and in case of any complaint; the Principal may review the scripts. The decision of the authorities will be final and binding on the students concerned.

Promotions are based on the average marks of all the Tests and the Terminal Examinations

Minimum pass for Promotion is 40% with an Attendance of 95 %
